Don't Milk It

Milking it.

Pardon the sexual innuendos that may arise from such a phrase, but the majority of you who read this will know the phrase.

'Milking it' is the act of continuously going on about something, be it an event you attended, a holiday you went on, or an amount of alcohol you drank last night.

You have all experienced it, someone constantly talking about something they did, just for the attention.   Good lord, it is the most frustrating thing on the planet.   Here is a helpful step by step programme I have devised to stop people from milking things constantly.

Step 1: Tell people about what you did, once.

Step 2: Shut up.

See?   That's not too hard is it?   Of course it isn't, and the more times you mention it, the more annoyed people will be with you, and they will leave you to milk it, on your own, in a corner. (Again, apologies for the innuendo)

Especially, in this day and age, where we have Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, you only need to mention it once on each site.   If I see you post #Maga15, or something similar, more than once I will find you, and kill you.

Please, don't be a milk.

Food Sobriety

I am sick of having tits.

Today I read a blog post, and it has changed me.   The post, if you haven't read it, details the writer's struggles with fitness and body image.   I'm not going to lie, it struck a chord with me, it was almost as if I wrote it because it is exactly the same way I feel about my body and health.   It's time for me to make a drastic change to my life, and for a month as of today, I am abstaining from any alcohol, takeaway, dessert, any of that shit which poisons my body.

This may not seem like a big sacrifice, but trust me, if you know me personally, you know how bad I can get with eating the unhealthiest foods around.   This is a big step for me, and I give anyone permission to take an alcoholic drink or a takeaway from me if you see it in my hand, genuinely take it.

Time to start get my body's act together and start feeling healthy again.

Be Frank

If you don't live under a rock and have a fantastic taste in shows on Netflix, you will know that House of Cards season 3 was released in its entirety Friday morning.   This show is life changing I recommend it highly.   That's the only critical review I'm going to give.

I don't want to talk about the show in general, just one thing in particular, one character.

Frank Underwood.

This man, albeit a fictional one, understands the importance of power and respect.   He knows that you don't get anywhere in life without commanding respect from your peers, and becoming the leader that some people so desperately need.

"From this moment on, you are a rock.   You absorb nothing, you say nothing, and nothing breaks you."

Jesus, hearing Kevin Spacey utter those words gave me tingles.

Over the 3 seasons, Mr Underwood has become somewhat of an inspiration to me, his determination to succeed and thirst for power resonate with me, striking a chord with the human instinct for dominance that many people fail to act upon.

Not only Frank, but his wife, Claire is a mirror image of her husband.   Her equal thirst for power is as alluring as it is dangerous.   You need a wife like that in your life, someone who gives your life ambition.

I love this show, I love it more than sharks love blood.   (In-show reference, obviously)

If you haven't seen it, watch the damn trailer.
